Nestled among the trees on a bay of a small lake this cottage renovation and addition project was strategically designed to make small spaces and budgets work hard for the retired clients and their extensive and growing family and guests. Much of the existing cottage and setbacks remain while a new roof and indoor-outdoor muskoka room and entrance unifed existing disperate structures to feel cohesive. Existing spaces were reconfigured for more modern functionality , storage and living space while much needed new additions, though small in footprint, deliver the extra living space the clients need and take advantage of height and views with spaces that feel gracious and inviting.
